Application

The course can accept only 22 students as following: 12 violin players, 5 viola players and 5 cello players.

The students application consists of a video recording, in which the students should play a solo work of their own choice - with or without piano.

• Application is open until the 6th of July.
• The video recording is mandatory, and should be submited until the application's deadline, the 6th of July. The video should be privately published on an online platform (youtube, vimeo, etc..) and the link sent to dourostringsacademy@gmail.com.
• All candidates will be contacted by email with the application results. The selected students should pay the course fees within 5 days and send the proof of payment to dourostringsacademy@gmail.com.
• The selected students accept to pay a fee of 195€. This value includes the individual lessons, chamber music and orchestra lessons, as well as lunch. The full-board stay has an extra price of 190€. This doesn't include the transportation to Vila Real or back home.
• The students younger than 18 should bring a permission statment signed by their guardians.
• Every student should have a personal accident and civil liability insurance. At the time of registration participants could ask the Douro Strings Academy to organize and cover the student with this insurance - with an additional cost of 10€.
• The 2024 edition will happen at the Escola Secundaria Camilo Castelo Branco and at the Teatro de Vila Real.
